An upcoming performance of Character Sketches by Anne Watson will take place at the ICA ClarinetFest 2012 in Lincoln, NE in August. Dr. Watson commissioned the piece in 2003, and part of the commission money was spent on Theresa's wedding dress!

A Clarinet and Bassoon Faculty Recital featuring compositions by Theresa Martin was given at the University of Oshkosh in Oshkosh, WI on Apr. 15, 2012. Theresa Martin performed on three of her own works, including Gryphon for solo clarinet. She was joined by Rosemary Brumbelow on Solar Flair, Paula Brusky on Riptide. Also on the program was the clarinet and piano version of Peaches at Midnight, performed by Rosemary Brumbelow and Kirstin Ihde.

Robert Spring and Jorge Montilla premiere Theresa's work, Solar Flair, for two clarinets on Dr. Spring's fall recital. The work was commissioned by Dr. Spring in the summer of 2004. Theresa will take part in a pre-concert talk in which the audience may ask questions of the composers.
Theresa travels to Ostend, Belgium to study clarinet at the Belgian Clarinet Academy. Her teachers include: Eddy VanOosthuyse, Robert Walzel, and Robert Spring.

Theresa's piece, Mingling Contradictions, premiered on the ASU Composition Studio Recital in Katzin Concert Hall. This piece (for Violin, Clarinet, Piano, and Electronics) was written as a collaboration with two choreographers, Wendy Jones and Tara McFarland, of the ASU Dance Department.
