Rosarium translates from the Latin to “garden of roses.” Roses are my favorite flower for many reasons. They are beautiful to gaze upon, they have a heavenly scent, and they are a symbol of love.  

This work is inspired by a meditation of being in a peaceful rose garden, with its safe, high walls, where the world’s complications are not allowed. It is a place where you will lower your defenses, remove your masks, and stop trying to solve the world’s problems on your own.  Your anxieties melt away as you walk through the garden. Spending time with your loved ones, smelling the fragrant breath of heaven and hearing the calming fountains and running brooks will allow your tension to be surrendered and replaced with peace.
